The Atlantic Coast Conference and Florida Citrus Sports have released the time for the inaugural Orlando Kickoff, scheduled for Monday, Sept. 5 (Labor Day). The game, slated for 8:00 p.m. ET, will feature a pair of projected Top 25 teams in the Florida State Seminoles and Ole Miss Rebels televised nationally from the Orlando Citrus Bowl on ESPN.

During bowl week, Florida Citrus Sports will host members of the 1966 Morgan State University football team, paying homage to its historic Tangerine Bowl victory a half-century ago.

On December 10, 1966, the Morgan State College Bears defeated the West Chester (Pa.) State College Rams, 14-6, for win number 18 of what would become a 31-game winning streak. Under the leadership of College Football Hall of Fame coach Earl Banks, Morgan State was one of the winningest college football teams – regardless of race – of the 1960s (71-16-1). In addition, 41 players from Banks’ teams went on to play professional football, including 1966 Tangerine Bowl Most Valuable Player and future NFL Hall of Fame middle-linebacker Willie Lanier.

The Michigan Wolverines (9-3, 6-2 Big Ten) and the University of Florida Gators (10-3, 8-2 SEC) will meet in the 70th annual Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl. The New Year’s Day Classic will kick-off in its traditional 1:00 p.m. timeslot on ABC.

Florida Citrus Sports announced a partnership with the College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation that will result in the funding of classroom project requests for public schools in the neighborhoods surrounding the Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium. Orlando is the sixth city to partner with the CFP Foundation's first city outside of the “New Year’s Six” bowl host cities to partner with the CFP Foundation.

U.S. Women's National Team To Meet Brazil at Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium on October 25

The U.S. Women’s National Team returns to the Orlando Citrus Bowl for the first time since 2013 as part of the 10-match Victory Tour to celebrate the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup championship. Orlando City SC and the City of Orlando, with the support of the Central Florida Sports Commission and Florida Citrus Sports, have partnered to host the World Cup champions as they face historic rivals and current sixth-ranked global soccer power Brazil on October 25.
